Your professional success depends on your personal skills as a negotiator, whether you are seeking resources for your project or team, trying to get a new position or a higher salary or managing relationship with your suppliers.
In this negotiation workshop, you will gain insight into the traits and techniques of a dealmaker and build your own skills.

In the morning you will engage with the techniques through group exercises, learning how to execute proven tactics, refine your personal negotiating style, and improve your ability to bargain successfully and ethically in any situation. In the afternoon you will then hear from a range of peers who have implemented these techniques successfully and will share their real-life stories with you. Along the way, you will gain a new appreciation for how negotiating skills can help you overcome a wide range of challenges at work.

Elspeth Mills Rendall | Negotiation expert

During Elspeth's morning session, she will cover everything from the qualities of a skilled negotiator, to negotiation skills, tactics, principled negotiation, and stretching the zone of potential agreement. This will be a highly interactive session with lots of opportunities to test out the skills discussed

Catherine Moore | Head of Quality and Compliance | Mundipharma IT Services
Catherine's presentation will cover her approach to negotiation by pulling from personal experiences with real examples (negative and positive). She'll cover relationship with stakeholders involved in the negotiation, clarity on goals/terminology, informal negotiation, looking for mutual benefit, and negotiations for personal benefit (new roles and pay rises)


Kevin Watters | Director, Business Technology Europe | HarperCollins Publishers UK
Prior to working in the UK, Kevin held a position at the HarperCollins office in Toronto, Canada. Looking for a change, Kevin successfully negotiated his new position and location to put him in the HarperCollins office in London with his remit covering the whole of Europe. He'll cover how this negotiation took place and his recommendations for others looking to do the same.
