Most organisations will still need an IT organisation in the future but it will be different and will perform different tasks than today. Where does this leave you and your team members?
This key challenge is being addressed by two Forum activities in Q1 2017. This second event follows an earlier workshop which gathered requirements, where organisations were represented by their team leaders and middle management as well as junior IT professionals, exploring multigenerational views of the future of the IT team.
This second event will be directed specifically at CIOs/IT Leadership Team. Anonymous feedback will be provided from the first event, along with approaches that could be taken to start to address the requirements and potential skills gaps.
Predictions of workforce developments, based on an analysis of the past, seem unlikely to be appropriate within a rapidly changing environment. A shortage of talent is already evident and research is telling us that the dynamics of the workforce will be significantly different in the near future
